Shalateen Mineral Resources Company participates in the Egypt Mining Forum 2022
On 4th July 2022, Dr. Ashraf El-Amir presented an introduction to SMRC its concession areas granted to the company, in addition to marketing and promoting the international bidding to be offered to international companies during the year 2023 for five promising areas in the Egyptian Eastern Desert.
A number of senior heads of international gold and mining companies, asserted the development of the mining industry which is taking place in Egypt, as well as the reforms and measures taken, encouraging many companies to come in Egypt participating in bid rounds for gold and minerals exploration.
This came during the opening session of Egypt Mining Forum 2022, entitled (Egypt is a Destination for Mining Investment), with the presence of CEO of Centamin, Co-Founder and Director of Lotus Gold Corporation, Senior Vice President - Tax & Treasury of Barrick Gold Corporation, and Senior Vice President of B2Gold.
The panel clarified the investors' vision for investing in Egypt, pointing out the reasons for launching, starting with amending the necessary legislation, applying the international prevailing systems in mining agreements, integrating Egypt's Mining resources, as well as the availability of manpower and the necessary training, in addition to the Ministry's keenness to overcome any obstacles confronting the investors.
